• Communication (or perhaps on the About page)
    • Communication is key. …communication is huge
    • So, complete expectations, “Hey, this is what we’re going to do.” Just making sure you’re on the same page with your clients.
    • But just educating them on what we will do and won’t do.
    • Just like if I move a refrigerator, I’ll unhook it. But I don’t hook it back up. We’ll have a plumber do that. Our insurance says, “Hey, you’re not a plumber. We’re not going to pay for you if you hook up a dishwasher. If it leaks, you’re out of luck.” They’ll probably still pay for it, but my point is you just got to…
  • End to end service (not these words)
    • If we can’t do the job of some sort, we have a list of people from, believe it or not, electricians and painters and carpet. So I want to make that a list as well of people who we can provide.
    • We don’t want to just do the floors. I can tell a homeowner, “Hey, you’re going to need a painter. I can recommend a painter, an electrician, absolutely everyone.”
    • Sometimes, a homeowner doesn’t want to have to call 10 people. They want me to provide.
    • That’s on anything—remodels, new construction, whatever, if they need someone. When someone comes in, they want their floor project done, they don’t want to have to call five different people because you have to take the baseboards off. We will take them off and reinstall them, but then you need them caulked and painted. Well, of course, we’ll don’t caulk and paint. But we can recommend a list of people for that.
